Shattering the mold established when he first appeared on Vulpiano in 2010, Richey has clearly strived to fulfill his potential and succeeded.

As a canvas of instrumental experiments and ambitiously orchestrated songs pulling from a spectrum of rock, pop, electronica, even jazz; the closest point of comparison might be David Bowie's most carefully sequenced and fearless albums, woven together by a voice not dissimilar to the plaintive baritone of Dave Gahan - but there are decades of stylistically extroverted introverts being channeled here.

Emotionally this is something of an odyssey of unvarnished fears and hopes, but with compassion for the listener that seeks to elevate us out of the depression it evokes; surely a cathartic salve to the period we are living through.

"This is an album primarily about dreams, but it’s also about memory and self-perception.

It’s about how all these things are affected or influenced; by sleep and sleeplessness, time and ageing, by how we interact with one another and by the many ways the world changes around us every day.

However these things impact us, whether waking or sleeping, dreams always seem to fall into one of two categories; somewhere to escape to or something to escape from."
